Workforce Health Assessors (WHA) is one of Australia and New Zealand's leading occupational health providers. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Help Desk Officer to join our Hobart team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, helping people, and working with technology in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in supporting our expanding workforce while assisting with a number of exciting projects, including the expansion of WHA's clinic network and other strategic technology initiatives.
About the Role
Reporting to the Manager, Technology and Cyber Security, you will provide frontline technology support across the WHA Group and assist with the day-to-day administration of WHA's technology environment.
As the first point of contact for many IT-related enquiries, you will help ensure our employees have the tools, systems and support they need to deliver exceptional service to our clients and candidates.
Key responsibilities include
- Providing first-level help desk and technical support at all stages of an employee’s life cycle.
- Responding to system, hardware, software, Microsoft 365, device and user account enquiries.
- Providing support to WHA’s licensee network, as required.
- Supporting laptop, desktop, mobile device and software deployments.
- Managing and resolving support tickets in a timely and professional manner.
- Assisting with technology administration, documentation and asset management.
- Supporting technology projects and business improvement initiatives.
- Assisting with clinic expansions, relocations and recent site technology deployments.
- Working closely with group managers to support the ongoing growth and development of WHA's technology environment.
- Liaising with third-party technology providers and vendors where required.
About You
You are customer-focused, organised and enjoy helping people solve problems.
You will bring
- Previous experience in a help desk, desktop support or IT support role.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Relevant IT qualifications or currently studying Information Technology (desirable but not essential).
