Delmont Private Hospital is an accredited 88 bed private mental health facility providing treatment to patients across General Acute Adult Psychiatry, Substance Use and Addiction, Young Adults and Aged Psychiatry. With an extensive Day Program, Outreach and Consulting Suite, Delmont provides for over 90 Doctors managing a range of mental health disorders.

About The Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic mature minded Receptionist to join our Front Office Team in a Casual capacity (evening shifts required).

You must be a team player with a high level of customer service skills and a positive attitude! The successful applicant should demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills whilst displaying a high level of attention to detail.

What we are looking for:

- Receptionist/Administration duties.

- Patient billing, receipting and banking.

- Be punctual and confident in opening and closing of reception

- Greeting patients and visitors on arrival

- Answer and respond to a high volume of telephone enquires with a courteous and professional manner

- Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a busy environment whilst also having ability to work autonomously

- Running and actioning daily reports

- Data entry of patient information

- Admission and discharging of patients

- Accurately billing patients

- Tidying the reception area

- Various duties as directed from time to time by the Front Office Manager

Skills and Experience:

- Flexibility in working hours (Monday – Sunday and some evenings) and availability is imperative.

- Medical reception/admin experience preferred.

- Multitasking required in a fast-paced environment.

- Work autonomously is essential.

- Team player and trustworthy





- Excellent time management

- Outstanding oral and written communication skills, telephone manners and presentation

- Competent level of computer literacy and Microsoft Office Suite

- Fast and adaptive learner

- Strict adherence to patient confidentiality, policies, and procedures

- Proven history of reliability

- Private health insurance claims and experience working in a healthcare environment advantageous, but not essential.

Renumeration:

- Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and as per the relevant Delmont EA.

Requirements:

- All Delmont Hospital Employees are required to be vaccinated against Influenza with a TGA approved vaccine and must provide evidence of their vaccination status. This is in accordance with the legislated requirement for influenza vaccination.

- All Delmont Hospital Employees are strongly recommended to be vaccinated and up to date with COVID-19 as per ATAGI guidance and the Australian Immunisation Handbook.

- Delmont supports a facility-wide risk-based workforce immunisation program consistent with the current immunisation requirements for health care workers.
