Role Description The HR Support Officer (Australia Only) is a part time, remote role focused on providing administrative and operational support to the Human Resources function. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with the development and maintenance of job descriptions, supporting the implementation of HR policies, and helping manage basic HR records and documentation.
The HR Support Officer will respond to routine employee inquiries, support onboarding activities, and help maintain positive employee relations within a distributed team. The role also involves coordinating with HR leadership on process improvements and ensuring HR practices are consistent, organized, and compliant with organizational standards.
Qualifications
- Foundational Human Resources skills, including Human Resources (HR) and HR Management capabilities.
- Ability to understand, apply,
and help maintain HR Policies in a remote, research-centered organization.
- Skills in supporting Employee Relations, including handling basic inquiries and promoting a respectful work environment.
- Experience or aptitude in Development and maintaining accurate HR documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and collaborate across time zones.
- Familiarity with HR practices in Australia and basic knowledge of employment standards is beneficial.
- Relevant education or training in Human Resources, Business, or a related field at an entry level is an advantage.
