Project Overview

The Ar Rjum Project comprises a green field gold project with three open pit mining operations, associated waste dumps, ore stockpile, a processing plant, tailings management facilities, and supporting infrastructure including water supply, power supply, maintenance facilities, offices, and a temporary and permanent accommodation village. The Project is situated within the Central Arabian Gold Region, approximately 200 km north‑east of Taif towards Riyadh and about 26 km south of Al Mouwayh.

Job Summary

In this role, you will supervise a team of Control Systems personnel, estimate project staffing needs, and schedule and assign work. You will prepare discipline estimates and work plans and review and approve control systems investigations and studies. Your leadership will drive high quality work plans, successful implementation of control system components, team support and training, and project performance. This position is designated as part‑time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in‑person attendance per week at the assigned office or project.

Major Responsibilities

- Plan, develop, direct, and participate in the day‑to‑day Control Systems engineering activity on small to medium sized projects or a portion of a major project with minimal to moderate complexity.
- Supervise, coordinate, and review the work of personnel assigned, estimate staffing needs, schedule, and assign work accordingly.




- Provide technical input to meet procurement requirements.
- Prepare or oversee the preparation of Control Systems discipline estimates and work plans in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget, and manage implementation and performance accordingly.
- Review and make recommendations for the Control Systems engineering aspects of bid evaluations and awards for approval by project engineering.
- When directed, coordinate with client representatives to obtain their approval of Control Systems engineering aspects of the work.
- Review and approve key calculations, licensing evaluations, design documents, supplier drawings and data, material specifications, drawings, and change orders for the project to which assigned.
- Ensure that assigned Control Systems engineering personnel receive appropriate on‑the‑job training for their career development.
- Assist in the preparation and review of project procedures and cost estimates for proposals, forecasts, and change orders.

Education and Experience Requirements

- Requires bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 10–13 years of relevant experience or 14–17 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills





- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of design and engineering packages for control systems and instrumentation in mining, processing plant or oil and gas.
- Proven ability to produce and manage design philosophy, criteria and technical specification documentation to meet project requirements and company procedures.
- Possess current knowledge of industry and regulatory compliance standards relating to control systems and instrumentation to ensure design and engineering are compliant.
- Demonstrated experience effectively leading a team of Control System designers and engineers to execute project deliverables.
- Proven experience in conducting, coordinating, reviewing and implementing HAZOPs, CHAZOPs, LOPA and Cybersecurity assessment in relation to control systems and instrumentation.
- Excellent attitude to quality and safety and demonstrated ability to comply with company and client requirements.
- Effective communication and reporting with all stakeholders.
- IT design experience is advantageous.
