We're looking for an experienced HR Coordinator to join our leadership team and help shape the employee experience across our specialist referral and emergency hospitals. About the Role
Reporting to the Business Manager and working closely with the Operations Manager, Department Leaders and VetPartners, you'll lead the HR & People function across our hospitals. You'll partner with leaders to recruit exceptional people, support employee development, guide performance and employee relations, strengthen leadership capability and continuously improve the systems and processes that underpin our workforce. You'll also play a key role in driving innovation through AI, automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading end-to-end recruitment and workforce planning
- Managing onboarding, probation, offboarding and the employee lifecycle
- Working with Vet partners to Provide HR advice and coordinate employee relations processes
- Coaching and supporting leaders through people matters and organisational change
- Maintaining HR systems, records,
policies and compliance requirements
- Driving employee engagement, recognition and wellbeing initiatives
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes through AI, automation and technology
- Contributing to strategic projects and broader hospital leadership initiatives beyond the HR & People portfolio
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business management or related discipline
- At least 2 years’ experience in HR or HR & People in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in the Veterinary or Human health care field advantageous but not essential
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
- Robust organisational skills and attention to detail
- High emotional intelligence and confidence managing difficult conversations
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- An interest in AI, technology and continuous improvement
- A collaborative leadership style with a genuine passion for developing people & hospitals
- Comfortable presenting to large groups and leading staff engagement sessions.
