As our People Operations Coordinator, you'll support a diverse workforce across NightOwl, Think Commercial and The Benson Hotel, gaining exposure to the retail, property and hospitality sectors.

Working closely with the Head of People Operations, you'll be responsible for coordinating a broad range of HR activities, including workplace investigations, employee relations support, policy development, compliance administration, and Work Health & Safety initiatives. This is a hands-on role that combines operational HR support with opportunities to contribute to strategic projects, process improvements, and the continued development of a high-performing workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

- Support workplace investigations, performance management matters, and employee relations activities while ensuring procedural fairness and compliance.
- Prepare and maintain employment documentation including investigation reports, performance improvement plans, disciplinary correspondence, and other employee relations records.
- Provide guidance and administrative support to leaders on people management matters, policies, and employment obligations.
- Develop, review, and maintain HR policies, procedures, templates, and people resources.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legislative requirements.
- Monitor compliance obligations and support reporting, audits, and people-related administration activities.




- Coordinate Work Health & Safety activities including incident reporting, corrective action tracking, record management, and compliance monitoring.
- Support the delivery of WHS training, communications, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
- Contribute to People Operations projects, organisational change initiatives, and process improvement opportunities.
- Build effective relationships with leaders and stakeholders to support positive people outcomes across the business.

What You'll Bring

- Previous experience in a Human Resources, People Operations, Employee Relations, Compliance, or HR Administration role.
- Robust understanding of HR processes, employment documentation, and workplace compliance requirements.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to prepare professional and accurate documentation.
- High level organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience using HR systems or databases.
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline will be highly regarded
