About the role

We are looking for Relief Security Officers to work at Homes Victoria sites spread across Melbourne. Duties include but are not limited to:

- Monitor and authorise entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons
- Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
- Provide assistance to residents and visitors in a courteous and skilled manner.
- Enforce property rules and regulations to maintain order.
- Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV and alarm systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and write reports to ensure security and safety equipment is functioning properly.
- Ability work across all sites of Homes VIC

Skills & experience

- Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently and prior experience working in a challenging environment
- Certificate II in Security Operations
- Working with children check (or willing to apply for one)
- Valid Security Licenceand First Aid and CPR
- Full Australian working rights
- Strong understanding of security protocols and procedures.
- Excellent observational and surveillance skills.
- Ability to operate security equipment and systems.
- Good communication skills and the ability to report incidents clearly and accurately.
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
