Duties and Responsibilities

1. Responsible for unpacking container stock, receiving, packing, and dispatching spare parts, while maintaining relevant records as required.

2. Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and basic maintenance of the warehouse, office, amenities, and yard, while keeping accurate records of all processes and procedures related to spare parts, tools, vehicles, etc.

3. Responsible for shelving spare parts, entering barcodes, printing barcodes, verifying quantities, and recording the quality of spare parts.

4. Responsible for the daily management of warehouse spare parts, including regular inventory checks and monthly rolling inventory assessments.

5. Responsible for periodic inventory checks of other warehouses.

6. Customer service duties include assisting customers by answering inquiries, resolving issues, processing orders, and providing support. This role ensures positive customer experience by offering timely and helpful information, addressing complaints,



and coordinating with other teams to effectively meet customer needs.

7. Other tasks related to spare parts as assigned.

Qualifications

High school students or graduates preferred

Excellent work ethic and time management skills

Strong interpersonal communication skills

Certificates required

Valid LF Licence - with experience on multiple machines: -Counter Balance / High reach

RF Scanning experience

Teamwork & Punctuality

Manual Handling Capabilities

Cert IV warehousing, transport, distribution would be desirable

Additional Information

The role may require occasional travel to remote sites.

Shift work may be required based on operational needs.

Inventory Management

A storeman must keep a meticulous record of all incoming and outgoing products, ensuring accurate stock levels. They conduct regular stock counts, identify discrepancies, and reconcile any discrepancies.

Stock Organization

Storemen are masters of organization. They arrange products in a logical and effective manner, making it easy for staff to locate items quickly. This includes labeling shelves, bins, or pallets and maintaining a tidy workspace.

Receiving Deliveries

When shipments arrive, it's the storeman’s responsibility to receive and inspect the goods. They check for damages, verify quantities, and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.

Order Fulfillment

When customers place orders, storemen spring into action. They gather the requested items, pack them securely, and prepare them for shipping or pickup. Attention to detail is crucial here to avoid mix-ups or errors.

Equipment Maintenance

Storemen operate various tools and equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks. It is their duty to keep these tools in good working condition. Regular maintenance checks and reporting any issues are part of the job.
