The Role

This role reports directly to the Executive General Manager People & Culture and leads, motivates and supports a team of 6 assessor/trainers., This role is yours to manage the design, delivery and evolution of our learning strategy within a fast moving environment. This position will see you out and about across all areas of the business, partnering with manages and leaders for insight required to create and execute L&D; strategy aimed at ensuring our people have the skills, confidence and capability to keep Melbourne moving.

This will include

- Managing, building and evolving Ventura's Learning & Development strategy and framework
- Develop and efficient and engaging induction program and employee development programs
- Design and delivery of leadership and management development initiatives
- Develop onboarding, compliance/mandatory, technical and leadership training.
- Manage and enhance our Driver Assessment Program
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, learning and development
- Partner with stakeholders to deliver innovative learning solutions that make a real impact
- Oversee the management of our LMS, training records and reporting
- Measuring the impacts of training initiatives

About You

You're an experienced Learning & Development manager with flair,



energy and creativity leader who enjoys building capability and influencing positive change. You can think strategically while remaining hands-on and practical, and you're comfortable partnering with leaders at all levels of the business.

To be successful, you'll bring:

- Experience working within transport, logistics, infrastructure, manufacturing or other highly operational environments
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Learning & Development or a related discipline
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or equivalent)
- Proven experience leading Learning & Development or Organisational Development functions
- Experience designing and implementing learning frameworks, programs and development initiatives
- Strong stakeholder management, coaching and influencing skills
- Experience working within transport, logistics, infrastructure, manufacturing or other operational environments
- Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Strong project management, communication and continuous improvement capabilities
