This position encompasses clinical, educational and research responsibilities in a busy teaching hospital environment spanning the Victorian Heart Hospital, Monash Clayton, Dandenong Hospital and Monash Casey. The incumbent will provide safe and effective, person‑centred care, lead clinical teams, supervise resident medical staff and students, and pursue fellowship training where applicable.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe and effective, person‑centred care in a multidisciplinary team.
- Teach and supervise resident medical staff and medical students.
- Undertake training towards attaining Fellowship of the relevant college.
- Lead clinical care and coordinate patient management.
- Participate in clinical trial research activities.
Qualifications
- Primary medical degree (MBBS) or equivalent.
- Professional experience at the level of a medical registrar.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy clinical setting and care for unwell or unstable patients.
- Strong communication skills and respectful, timely communication.
- Clinical leadership and the ability to coordinate patient care while supervising junior staff.
- Self‑management skills, organized approach to work and education/training.
- Commitment to organisational initiatives, including VHH clinical trial research activities.
- Australian working rights.
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Employee Working with Children’s Check.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
