Fetch Recruitment are seeking a civil minded HSE Coordinator to join our client’s team in the Gold Coast and South Brisbane suburbs. My client specialises in urban development and has extensive capabilities to self-perform a wide range of civil construction activities including large scale bulk earthworks, contaminated earthworks, acid sulfate soils, land remediation, council roadworks, state authority roadworks, bridge construction and hydraulics.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-profile urban team while ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and implement HSE policies and procedures across multiple sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on health, safety, and environmental best practices.
- Investigate and report incidents, ensuring lessons learned are integrated into future practices.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate risks proactively.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting in line with company and legislative requirements.
Qualifications, Experience and Must Haves
- Proven experience in a similar HSE role, preferably in civil urban development space.
- Tertiary qualification in Health, Safety, Environment, or a related field. (Certificate 4 in OHS minimum)
- Comprehensive knowledge of Australian HSE standards and legislation.
- Clean driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drugs, alcohol and fitness test.
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and guide teams.
