The Role The McKinley Plowman (MP+) team is seeking an experienced, driven, and enthusiastic Human Resources Administrator to join us on a maximum-term contract, providing coverage until February 2028 in our Joondalup office. The successful candidate will contribute directly to our amazing culture and team dynamic, playing an integral role in supporting the continued growth of the business by consolidating and overseeing all administrative HR tasks across the MP+ group entities and wider firm.
About the Role
Reporting to our Head of People and Culture, the successful candidate will be responsible for a range of tasks, including but not limited to:
Human Resources (90%)
- Manage end-to-end induction process for new employees.
- Preparation of offers of employment & general employee related correspondence.
- Monitoring of induction program and probation progress, and provide support as necessary.
- Ensuring up-to-date maintenance and accurate record keeping of employee records.
- Post job openings, manage job advertising, and liaise with recruitment agencies.
- Recruitment and interview administration and communication.
- Monitor HR and Careers inboxes & action and respond to general HR queries.
- Assist with the implementation and administration of HR policies and procedures throughout the firm.
- Prepare internal HR communications for the wider firm.
- Policies and procedure management and keeping them updated as FairWork and employment legislation changes and business needs.
- Proactively participating in various aspects of the firm’s culture and support programs to foster a positive work environment.
Payroll (10%)
- Fortnightly data preparation and administration from end to end including PPL, salary sacrifice,
leave applications.
- Providing payroll data to the Payroll Team for the purpose of processing.
- Reviewing the variance reports to ensure accurate data entry and confirm payroll.
- Provide other ad hoc data to the Payroll Team such and onboarding and offboarding information in a timely manner for processing.
- Processing Offshore payroll via Contractor Invoices.
Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate for this role will have:
- Proven 2-3 years experience as an HR Administrator or similar role working in a professional workplace.
- Highly developed attention to detail & problem-solving ability.
- Solid knowledge of Australian employment and payroll legislation and processes will be highly regarded.
- Working knowledge of ADP payroll processing will be highly regarded.
- Solid proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.
- Great communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to research HR and payroll issues & interpret awards and legislation.
