Human Resources Officer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Human Resources Officer to provide high-quality generalist HR advice and support across the organisation.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will partner with managers and employees to deliver best-practice HR services across the entire employee lifecycle. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys building strong working relationships, providing practical HR advice, and contributing to a positive workplace culture.

About ISACNT The Industry Skills Advisory Council NT (ISACNT) is an independent not-for-profit organisation that provides strategic advice and industry intelligence on workforce development, skills shortages, training package development, and workforce solutions across the Northern Territory.

Working closely with industry, government and training providers, ISACNT is committed to strengthening the Territory's workforce and increasing industry capability and capacity.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide timely HR advice and support across a broad range of employment matters.

- Manage end-to-end recruitment and selection processes.

- Coordinate onboarding, induction and employee offboarding.

- Support performance management, employee development, workplace investigations, grievances and conflict resolution.

- Interpret employment legislation, Awards, policies and procedures.

- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR systems.

- Assist with learning and development initiatives.

- Build positive relationships with managers and employees to promote a collaborative and high-performing workplace.





- Keep up to date with employment legislation and HR best practice.

- Undertake other HR-related duties as required.

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Qualifications in Human Resources or demonstrated experience in a generalist HR role.

- Experience providing HR advice, including Award and Enterprise Agreement interpretation.

- Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and contemporary HR practices.

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of an organisation.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining confidentiality.

- A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.

Desirable

- Experience supporting performance management, grievances and workplace investigations.

- Knowledge of the Northern Territory employment environment and/or the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector.

Requirements The successful applicant must hold or be able to obtain:

- Current NT C Class Driver Licence

- Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card)

- National Police Check
