EL1 Specialist Advisor - Employment Suitability & Workforce Integrity

A Federal Government agency is seeking an experienced EL1 Specialist Advisor - Employment Suitability & Workforce Integrity to support the development and delivery of workforce integrity, personnel security and employment suitability initiatives.

This is a specialist opportunity for an experienced practitioner with a background in personnel security, workforce integrity, suitability assessments, governance, risk, or employment screening. You will play a key role in strengthening frameworks, policies and processes that support informed and risk-based workforce decisions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the development and implementation of contemporary employment suitability frameworks across the employee lifecycle.
- Provide expert advice on workforce integrity, personnel security and suitability-related matters.
- Assess complex suitability cases and deliver risk-based recommendations.
- Strengthen pre-employment screening and workforce monitoring processes.
- Develop policies, procedures and guidance materials to support organisational integrity and governance.




- Partner with stakeholders across People & Culture, Risk, Legal, Audit, Fraud and Cyber functions.
- Prepare high-quality briefings, reports and recommendations for senior leaders.
- Lead complex projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

About You To be successful, you will bring:

- Experience in a similar HR role, ideally in the public sector.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to assess sensitive and complex information.
- Experience developing frameworks, policies, governance processes or assessment methodologies.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- The ability to navigate complex environments and provide explicit, evidence-based advice.
- Experience working within government or highly regulated environments will be highly regarded.
