- Brisbane based with projects ranging north to the Sunshine Coast
- Share your expertise to help shape the future of affordable housing
- Remunerated appointment with professional development opportunities
An advisory role that carries both purpose and social impact. This flourishing organisation began as an incorporated association with initial small projects focused on homelessness. Now, 30+ years on, it has grown into a dynamic, fast- accelerating independent housing charity with an excellent reputation. Over the past decade, assets have grown tenfold, with further growth of up to AUD $500 million predicted over the next five years.
Independent Committee members augment Board expertise and provide fresh perspectives
This role of Advisor offers an excellent opportunity for a seasoned executive to share experience and expertise, advance different viewpoints, open conversations and exert influence at Board level. With 500+ new homes in the pipeline, you will be able to directly influence the feasibility, management, shape and strategic direction of this major housing development.
The skill sets required for success are self evident …
Clearly, you need to be a subject matter expert with a deep and detailed knowledge of housing and construction, infrastructure and property development and delivery. But this influential role also demands many of the specific management and technical skills owned by professionals, such as project engineers or quantity surveyors.
Company director qualifications and experience, although not essential,
are also desirable, along with mandatory Board, Committee or Advisory experience.
As a purpose-led Advisor, motivated by commercial excellence and social purpose, you will bring your own unique expertise to the Board of this rapidly expanding, eminently worthwhile organisation. So, a proven ability to provide independent oversight based on strong commercial acumen, governance awareness, sound judgement, commercial courage is a must - along with the determination to offer constructive challenge in a collaborative committee environment.
So, if you are keen to support a very successful, mission-driven organisation that is making excellent strides towards addressing the State’s housing crisis, here is your chance. By gaining Board exposure in this time-effective way, you’ll have the ability to influence governance and strategic property decisions and influence outcomes that will carry communities through the housing crisis.
If you are seeking a board-level governance opportunity where you can apply your expertise to both commercial stewardship and meaningful social impact, we look forward to hearing from you.
