A leading national mining and civil construction organisation is seeking an Industrial Relations Partner. A leading national mining and civil construction organisation is seeking a specialist Industrial Relations Partner to join its People & Culture team.

This role will partner with operational leaders to provide practical ER/IR advice, support compliance and manage workplace risk.

Reporting to the Group Manager, Employee & Industrial Relations, you will support ER/IR strategy, bargaining, investigations, advocacy matters and leader capability, and provide practical, commercial ER/IR support across complex operational environments.

Key responsibilities will include

- Providing expert ER/IR advice across operational and corporate teams.
- Leading and supporting enterprise bargaining and agreement administration.
- Managing investigations, grievances and employee relations matters.
- Partnering with leaders on ER/IR initiatives and workforce solutions.
- Representing the business before relevant commissions and tribunals.
- Supporting responses to union activity, disputes and workplace matters.
- Contributing to tenders and project documentation and strategies.
- Building leadership capability through coaching and ER/IR training.
- Collaborating with Legal, People, Health, operational teams and external advisers.




- Supporting ER/IR projects and process improvements.

To be successful in your application, you will bring with you, strong ER/IR expertise, commercial judgement and the ability to influence stakeholders in complex environments. You will possess experience of managing complex investigations, bargaining, disputes and compliance from within a unionised environment. Experience of supporting matters before the FWC and tribunals would be preferred. It is essential that you have a strong working knowledge of the Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards for Australia. You will possess a high level of written and verbal communication skills, the ability to present at an Executive level and be confident in your ER/IR specialist knowledge. Legal qualifications would be highly regarded. This is an chance to work with a national mining and civil construction organisation with site-based exposure.
