The Opportunity

We’re looking for a reliable, punctual and energetic Fleet Controller / Transport Allocator to join our busy Transport Office team on a temp to perm basis. This is a key role within our business, helping ensure our morning operations run smoothly from the very start of the day. Working onsite from 4am to 12pm, you’ll be the first point of contact for drivers, coordinating schedules, paperwork and daily transport requirements to keep freight moving efficiently and safely. You will be the central point of communication between drivers, customers, wharves, depots and management. You will allocate work, monitor schedules, respond to delays, update internal systems and help ensure freight movements are completed safely, efficiently and in line with customer expectations.

Previous Experience

Experience using OneStop, and or Freight Tracker is highly desirable.

Availability to cover the 4am shift onsite

Transport experience required and knowledge in heavy vehicle types / load types.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability it work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities at the same time.





You have a strong customer service focus and can take initiative to resolve issues where possible

Tasks & responsibilities

As a Fleet Controller / Transport Allocator, you will be the vital link between our clients, our drivers and internal staff, ensuring the smooth and timely execution and delivery of loads.

Allocate drivers and equipment to jobs to ensure freight is moved in the most effective and safest manner and meets our client delivery windows.

Coordinator daily container and general freight deliveries in Victoria

Using the latest software to help you make the best decisions possible.

Communicate and keep customers up to date with any potential delays or issues in delivering freight.

As a Fleet Controller you will work closely with drivers, clients, maintenance personnel and management to maintain accurate records and coordinate all aspects of our fleet operations.

Ensure compliance with all transportation laws and regulations.

Work closely with the Transport Manager and other Fleet Controllers to maintain efficient fleet utilisation and cost-effective operations

Proactively manage delays, equipment shortages, maintenance issues or driver absences and escalated where required

Monitor schedules, time slots, vessel and job information, and update internal diaries accurately and in real time
