About the Role
Join DIC Australia, part of a leading global group in printing inks and coatings, as a Production Supervisor at our Victoria site. Reporting to the Operations Manager VIC, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing team, ensuring production targets, quality standards, inventory accuracy, and workplace safety are consistently achieved.
This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for an experienced manufacturing professional who enjoys leading teams, improving operational performance, and maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the factory to ensure production targets, quality standards, and customer requirements are achieved.
Lead, support, and develop the production team, fostering a safe, collaborative, and high-performing work environment.
Plan and coordinate daily production activities to meet delivery schedules and customer demand.
Ensure products are manufactured in accordance with product specifications through the correct selection, weighing, milling, mixing,
and potting of raw materials.
Liaise with Quality Control, Logistics, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure the efficient flow of production and timely communication of operational issues.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
Champion a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with WHS legislation, company policies, the DIC Way, CSR, and Kaizen principles.
Provide leadership in safety training, inductions, and ongoing development to ensure safe work practices are maintained.
Promote continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety.
What We're Looking For
Minimum 5 years' experience within a manufacturing or production environment
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in manufacturing or warehousing
Current Forklift Licence (essential)
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and inventory management
Experience using SAP and Microsoft Office applications
Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated with the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment
Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and manufacturing best practices
Willingness to occasionally work outside normal business hours when required
