Alt. Construction is a premium residential builder specialising in architecturally designed luxury homes across Melbourne.

We're looking for an experienced qualified carpenter who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems, and wants to progress.

This isn't just another carpentry role. You'll be involved in every stage of construction, working closely with our project managers, foremen and directors to deliver some of Melbourne's highest-quality homes.

About the Role

You'll be responsible for:

- High-end carpentry and detailed finishes
- Reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings
- Coordinating and mentoring apprentices
- Working alongside subcontractors and helping manage site activities
- Planning works ahead to ensure projects run efficiently
- Identifying issues before they become problems




- Maintaining exceptional quality and presentation on site

We're looking for someone who:

- Has experience across residential construction
- Is proficient using power tools and construction equipment
- Understands construction beyond carpentry (structural works, waterproofing, services coordination, finishes, etc.)
- Can read plans
- Has excellent problem‑solving skills
- Has robust communication and leadership qualities
- Takes pride in producing exceptional work
