Manager School Counselling

The Manager School Counselling will have a supported transition into the role from a Director in our School Counselling program.
- Based in Lewisham for the Auburn-Lakemba Hub

Key Responsibilities Include
- Lead and inspire a team of professionals through effective supervision, coaching and development, creating a culture of engagement, accountability and excellence.
- Ensure the successful delivery of strategic and operational goals while driving continuous service improvement.
- Develop workforce capability by supporting advanced practice skills in assessment, decision making, stakeholder engagement and risk management.
- Provide leadership and support during crises and critical incidents, promoting staff confidence, resilience and effective practice.
- Champion culturally responsive and child-protected practices that strengthen outcomes for children, families and school communities.
About You
To be a successful applicant you will have:
- Relevant program specific qualifications, expertise and required professional membership: AHPRA, AASW or PACFA
- Industry relevant experience coordinating and implementing services while supporting a team of counsellors to deliver client outcomes
- Skills in managing and providing supervision to a team of counsellors
- Demonstrated understanding of child protection, domestic/family violence and other relevant legislation
- High level communication, consultation and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated capacity to implement a person-centred approach to service delivery
- Ability to travel between schools within your designated Sydney region – valid NSW Driver Licence and access to a registered vehicle is required for this role
