About the Role

Join our team as a Clinical Support Nurse in a part time, fixed position to August 2028 working out of Monash Children's Hospital - Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Clayton.

We guarantee that no two days will be the same.

As a Clinical Support Nurse in PICU, you will provide exceptional, patient-centred care to children and their families in a fast-paced, agile environment. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, utilising your clinical expertise to assess, treat, and support young patients in PICU.

At Cocoon, our 10-bed Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, we offer comprehensive care to children who require life-support or an intensive level of nursing and medical care. Our dedicated team of healthcare professionals works tirelessly to ensure the highest standard of care in a dynamic, child-friendly environment. We are passionate about fostering a supportive atmosphere where both patients and their families feel cared for and valued.

About You





You are a proven Paediatric Nurse with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a willingness to commit to team work and ongoing professional development that align with our programs, values and vision. This role is pivotal in implementing Monash health education frameworks and project planning to continuously improve and remain contemporary in our education delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

- Provide education that promotes best practice standards
- Be a role model and mentor, fostering collaboration and teamwork among like-minded colleagues
- Help to ensure that through a highly skilled and educated workforce, our patients receive safe and high quality care
- Excited to actively contribute to quality improvement initiatives to uphold and enhance best practice standards within the program

Additional Requirements

- Significant Paediatric Critical Care clinical experience
- Completion of postgraduate studies in Critical Care
- You are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Authority (AHRPA)
- Hold a valid Working with Children Check
