Medical Receptionist (Cardiologist Suites)

Casual / Part Time: 1 - 1.5 days per week

At our small and intimate Cardiology practice, we are proud of our caring and dedicated approach to our clients. We are a tight knit company specialising in Cardiology and device follow up.
We are currently adding to our amazing team and are looking for a passionate person who is as empathetic and focused on our patient’s wellbeing as we are.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a part time Receptionist to join our progressive and innovative team. We believe it is a role in which learning is abundant, alongside the provision of compassionate and fulfilling care. You will work closely with and be supported by our Senior Receptionist and our caring and experienced Cardiologist.
The Receptionist ensures all patients receive excellent service in a professional and caring environment and are aware that confidentiality is of utmost importance.

Key Responsibilities
- Providing exceptional customer service to patients, referrers, and healthcare providers.
- Answering incoming telephone calls and responding to enquiries.
- Booking and managing patient appointments.
- Managing doctors consulting lists and schedules.
- Welcoming and arriving patients in a skilled and friendly manner.
- Processing patient payments and billing.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.
- Liaising with hospitals, general practices, specialists, and other healthcare providers.
- Making outgoing calls to patients regarding appointments and follow-up requirements.
- Supporting the day-to-day administration functions of the practice.
- Preparing consulting rooms and supporting Dr where required.
To be successful in this role, you will have
- Proven ability to work both autonomously and also in a team
- Strong organisational skills and proven ability to multitask.
- Confident, caring and professional approach with strong interpersonal skills and an awareness of the emotional needs of patients and an ability to cater to these needs through simple interactions.
- Strong IT and computer skills.
- Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast paced and busy environment.
- Positive attitude and openness to take on tasks.Drivers license may be required as travel between practice locations may be necessary.
The following experience would be highly regarded, but is not essential
- Previous experience in customer service, administration, reception, or a medical environment.
- Previous medical reception or specialist practice experience.
