Our client is a leading regulatory and compliance-focused organisation committed to improving workplace health and safety outcomes across a range of industries. Due to ongoing operational requirements, they are seeking an experienced Inspector to join their regional team, with a primary focus on the agricultural sector.

Your new role:

As an Inspector, you will play a key role in promoting compliance with Work Health & Safety legislation through workplace inspections, investigations, stakeholder engagement, and education initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include

- Conducting workplace inspections and compliance audits.
- Investigating workplace incidents, accidents, serious injuries, and fatalities.
- Gathering and analysing evidence to support enforcement actions and prosecution recommendations.
- Preparing investigation reports, legal briefs, and court evidence where required.
- Delivering safety presentations, guidance, and educational activities to industry stakeholders.
- Building productive relationships with employers, workers, industry representatives, and other stakeholders.
- Identifying emerging WHS risks, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Participating in projects, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Providing coaching, mentoring, and peer support to less experienced team members.
- Undertaking regional travel and occasional work outside standard business hours as required.

What you'll need to succeed:

- Significant industry experience within agriculture or related industries.
- Strong working knowledge of Work Health & Safety legislation, compliance activities, inspections, and investigations.




- Experience gathering evidence, analysing information, assessing risk, and developing practical solutions.
- The ability to influence and gain cooperation in challenging or sensitive situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and stakeholder engagement.
- A Diploma in Work Health & Safety (or higher), or a commitment to obtain one, or equivalent WHS experience.
- Strong judgement, resilience, and the ability to work autonomously.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
- A current unrestricted driver's licence.
- Full Australian working rights.
- Currently residing in Bunbury or surrounding areas.
