Thiel Partners Accountants is a progressive accounting and advisory firm committed to delivering outstanding service to our clients. We are seeking an experienced and professional Bookkeeper to join our team and take ownership of a portfolio of bookkeeping clients.
This role is ideal for someone with 4-5+ years of bookkeeping experience who thrives on building strong client relationships, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in delivering accurate and timely financial information.
About the Role
As a Bookkeeper at Thiel Partners, you will work closely with business clients across a range of industries, becoming a trusted point of contact for their day-to-day financial needs.
Your responsibilities will include
- Managing bookkeeping functions for a portfolio of clients
- Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Bank, credit card, loan and balance sheet reconciliations
- Payroll processing including superannuation and Single Touch Payroll (STP) compliance
- Preparation and lodgement of BAS, IAS and payroll tax returns
- Managing and maintaining cloud accounting records
- Assisting clients with Xero and bookkeeping-related queries
- Preparing management reports and financial data for accountants
- Identifying issues and opportunities to improve client processes
- Ensuring compliance with ATO and statutory obligations
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 4-5 years' bookkeeping experience
- Solid experience using Xero (MYOB and Quickbooks experience will be highly regarded)
- A thorough understanding of GST, BAS,
payroll, STP and bookkeeping principles
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple client deadlines
- A proactive attitude and strong problem-solving capabilities
- A commitment to delivering high-quality client service
