Inventory Controller

About the Role An exciting chance has become available for a motivated and detail-oriented Inventory Controller / Inventory Planner to support inventory, purchasing and logistics activities within a growing engineering and manufacturing business.
This role would suit someone with experience in warehousing, stores, inventory control or logistics who is looking to transition into a more office-based position while remaining closely connected to day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining stock accuracy, supporting purchasing activities and assisting with logistics coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain stock accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels and support inventory planning activities.
- Raise purchase orders and liaise with suppliers regarding stock requirements.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight and logistics activities.
- Investigate stock discrepancies and assist with corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP systems.
- Prepare inventory and purchasing reports as required.
- Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to ensure stock availability and efficient workflow.
About You
- Previous experience in warehousing, stores, inventory control, logistics or supply chain administration.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
- Comfortable using ERP systems, Microsoft Excel and inventory management software.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across warehouse and office environments.
- Forklift licence is advantageous but not essential.
