We are seeking a motivated and professional Workplace Investigation Support / Emerging Investigator to join our growing team.
This role would suit an experienced legal support professional, HR support officer, compliance assistant or early-career investigations professional who is looking to build a long-term career in workplace investigations and consulting. The role is primarily focused on investigation support and practice coordination, with a clear pathway to move into an investigator role.
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and professional Workplace Investigation Support / Emerging Investigator to provide high-quality support across our workplace investigations, reviews and consulting matters.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced investigators and consultants across a diverse range of workplace investigations, reviews, audits and people-related matters. In the immediate term, the role will focus on investigation support, including matter administration, drafting formal correspondence, organising and maintaining investigation materials, assisting with evidence review, preparing interview materials, coordinating logistics and supporting the development of reports and client deliverables.
Over time, and with training and supervision, the successful candidate will be expected to develop the capability to undertake more substantive investigation tasks, including evidence analysis, interview preparation, issue identification and drafting investigation-related content.
You will also contribute to workplace reviews, culture assessments and consulting projects designed to help organisations manage risk and improve workplace outcomes.
This position is suited to someone with strong administrative, communication and analytical skills who can manage sensitive information with discretion,
remain organised across multiple matters and apply a careful, objective approach to their work. The successful candidate must be willing and able to progress into an investigator role, including developing confidence in evidence assessment, interview support and report drafting.
About You
You are a professional, organised and detail-oriented person who can manage sensitive matters with discretion, integrity and sound judgement. You are comfortable supporting complex work, engaging professionally with a range of stakeholders and producing clear, accurate written communications.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Experience in administration, legal support, HR, compliance, investigations, governance, professional services or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare accurate, professional correspondence.
- High attention to detail, including the ability to organise information, maintain records and work carefully with confidential material.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple matters.
- Sound research, analytical and critical thinking skills, with an interest in evidence-based decision making.
- An understanding of, or willingness to develop understanding of, procedural fairness, natural justice, confidentiality and objective decision-making.
- A professional, ethical and confidential approach to sensitive workplace matters.
- A genuine interest in developing a career in workplace investigations, reviews, risk, compliance, employment relations or related fields.
- Willingness and capacity to undertake a Certificate III in Investigative Services.
Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate III in Investigative Services, legal studies, HR, compliance,
business administration or a related qualification will be well regarded but is not essential.
- Previous experience in investigation support, legal administration, HR support, compliance, case management, governance, professional services or a similar setting will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to work with confidential information, prepare accurate documents and support structured processes.
- A willingness to undertake further training or study relevant to workplace investigations, if required.

- Flexibility to engage professionally with clients, witnesses and other stakeholders as required.
- Ability to work responsively in a small consulting environment where priorities may change quickly.
- Willingness to receive feedback, develop investigation capability and progressively take on more complex investigation-related tasks.
