Role Description
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Support Engineer / IT Infrastructure Engineer to support, maintain, and optimize enterprise IT infrastructure while delivering high-quality technical support to end users. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of servers, networks, cloud services, and end-user computing environments. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting abilities, infrastructure expertise, and a customer-focused mindset, with a commitment to maintaining stable and secure IT operations.
Key responsibilities include
Provide first-line and second-line technical support for hardware, software, operating systems, network connectivity, and enterprise applications.
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other IT equipment.
Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization platforms, networks, and cloud environments.
Administer user accounts, permissions, group policies, and identity management using Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), or similar platforms.
Support Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, collaboration platforms, file services, and enterprise productivity solutions.
Configure and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, firewalls, and network security devices.
Perform system upgrades, software deployments, patch management, backup, disaster recovery, and routine maintenance activities.
Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, capacity, and security using enterprise monitoring and alerting tools.
Respond to incidents, service requests,
and infrastructure issues while ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with stakeholders.
Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud, application, and infrastructure teams to implement secure and scalable IT solutions.
Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, asset inventories, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles.
Support infrastructure projects, system migrations, cloud adoption, and technology refresh initiatives.
Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies, cybersecurity standards, data protection regulations, and governance requirements.
Evaluate emerging technologies, AI-assisted IT operations (AIOps), automation tools, and infrastructure best practices.
Participate in capacity planning, performance optimization, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Deliver reliable, secure, and productive IT services that support business continuity and organizational objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related field.
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, desktop support, server administration, networking, and enterprise systems.
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and Exchange Online.
Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Proxmox, or similar technologies.
Understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, switching, Wi-Fi, and firewall administration.
Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Knowledge of endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Intune, Configuration Manager (SCCM), Jamf, or equivalent solutions.
Familiarity with monitoring and management tools such as PRTG, SolarWinds, Zabbix, Nagios, Microsoft SCOM, Datadog, or similar platforms.
Understanding of backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, cybersecurity principles, and identity and access management.
Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, Freshservice, Zendesk, or ManageEngine.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication abilities.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to incidents.
High attention to detail with a commitment to service quality, operational reliability, security, and continuous improvement.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
