We're looking for a proactive IT Systems Administrator to join our collaborative IT team. This is an opportunity for a technically capable support professional who thrives on troubleshooting, improving systems, and delivering exceptional service to end users.
You'll play a key role in supporting our technology environment, ensuring employees have reliable access to the systems, applications and tools they need to succeed every day.
About the Role
As an IT Systems Administrator, you'll provide hands-on support across a broad range of technologies while partnering with colleagues, vendors and business stakeholders to maintain a reliable and secure IT environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical support across systems, applications, Microsoft 365, cloud services, servers, networks and end-user devices.
- Managing service desk requests and incidents through to resolution, ensuring a positive user experience.
- Monitoring systems and services to identify issues and support business continuity.
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical problems, escalating more complex issues where required.
- Supporting user access management, permissions, mailbox administration and identity services.
- Assisting with system maintenance, updates, patching and operational improvements.
- Working with vendors and internal teams to support technology projects and planned changes.
- Maintaining documentation, support procedures and knowledge base articles.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, automate routine tasks and enhance service delivery.
- Contributing to a secure, compliant and high-performing technology environment.
About You You're a customer-focused IT professional who enjoys working with people and finding practical solutions to technical challenges.
You'll bring
- 2-4 years' experience in IT support, systems administration or a similar technical role.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory and cloud-based services.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working within a service desk or ticketing environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical users.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A collaborative approach and a genuine desire to provide outstanding customer service.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team workplace.
Highly Regarded
- Experience with Azure, Microsoft Entra ID and cloud technologies.
- Exposure to PowerShell, Python or automation tools.
- Familiarity with monitoring and service management tools such as SolarWinds, Grafana or Freshservice.
- Knowledge of networking, backups, application support and infrastructure services.
- ITIL Foundation or relevant Microsoft, Azure or networking certifications.
