Young Academics Early Learning Centre is a leading provider with more than 50 centres across New South Wales.

We are currently seeking an experienced Centre Cook to join our Rouse Hill Adelphi Service.

This is a permanent part‑time position, working Monday‑Friday from 8 am to 3 pm.

About the Role

As a Centre Cook at Young Academics, your kitchen expertise will assist in creating meaningful learning experiences and environments that reflect best practice and align with our service philosophy. Service compliance and child safety remain our highest priority, and you will be expected to uphold our child‑safety practices in all aspects of your role. You will also collaborate with fellow educators to build strong, respectful partnerships with children, families, and the wider community, fostering a supportive setting that enhances children’s health and safety, wellbeing, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Responsibilities

- Implement and modify a seasonal menu created by our nutritionist
- Maintain regular checks in compliance with the NSW Food Standards Code and Health Regulations




- Assist staff and families in providing high‑quality education and care
- Collaborate with staff and families to facilitate learning opportunities relevant to the educational program
- Maintain professional, supportive and respectful relationships between management, staff, families and children

Qualifications

- Demonstrated Cook/Chef experience in the Aged Care or Early Childhood Education and Care sector
- An ACECQA‑approved qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care is preferred but not mandatory
- Alternatively, a relevant Commercial Cooks qualification
- Food Handlers Basics Certificate
- Valid NSW Employee Working with Children Check
- Knowledge of Food Standards Codes, EYLF and NQS
