Lifting Equipment Inspection and Service Technician

Certex Lifting supplies lifting equipment, steel wire rope, height safety, and other lifting solutions, alongside connected services including testing, maintenance, assembly, and installation of lifting products for industrial applications in a wide range of industries.

The Role

Working as part of the Service team in our Wangara workshop and on client sites, your role will include the inspection, assembly, installation, and testing of lifting, rigging, and height safety equipment.

The work is typically Monday to Friday, but overtime and weekend work may be available once you meet required competencies and is paid at penalty rates.

Snapshot of the role includes:

- Assembly, inspection, service, and installation of hoisting and rigging systems.
- Installation of height safety equipment.
- Maintaining records in testing and ERP software.

What we are looking for

As training will be provided, if you are enthusiastic about a new career, have excellent work ethic, and can demonstrate relevant skills and experience, we encourage you to apply, even if you aren't an experienced service technician. We are looking for the following:

- Experience working in an industrial setting, (such as construction, manufacturing, resources, or renewables).
- Able to take on a physical role, including regularly lifting and moving loads in accordance with WHS procedures, standing for long periods, and working with impact tools.
- A current, unrestricted driver’s license.
- Willing to undergo a pre‑employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening, and additional post‑employment assessment and testing (which may be required by clients to access their sites).
- Willing to do overnight travel when required, (once suitably qualified and trained).
- The legal right to work in Australia on a full time,



permanent basis.

Ideally you will also have

- Experience working with, manufacturing, inspecting, or testing rigging and lifting systems, height safety equipment or cranes.
- High‑Risk Work Licences, including Forklift, Dogging and Basic Rigging, and Elevated Work Platform.
- A current first aid certificate.
