The Hospital Nurse Coordinator role is pivotal to the safe management of Box Hill Hospital across 24 hours.
We are looking for a motivated professional senior nurse with relevant experience managing staffing, codes, safety of staff and patients. This role requires well‑developed nursing leadership, outstanding communication, excellent problem‑solving and the ability to work well within multidisciplinary teams. The candidate must be able to effectively fulfil the role of emergency controller for all emergency codes and bring a lateral thinking approach to ensure best outcomes for patients and the organisation.
About you
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Post‑graduate qualifications in a relevant clinical area or Health Care Management
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
- Recent experience in a similar role or managerial experience at a senior nursing level within an acute hospital setting
- The ability to work both within a multi‑disciplinary team and as an autonomous practitioner when required
- Ability to effectively manage staffing resources within budget while ensuring all care standards are maintained
- Ability to align services and resources to meet the changing needs of our communities
- Proven record of managing difficult and at times challenging situations
- The flexibility to work a 7‑day rotational roster
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations.
Seasonal influenza vaccination is a mandatory requirement for this role and must be up to date prior to employment.
