In the position of Senior Research Budget Specialist, you will be instrumental in overseeing clinical trial budgeting, contracting, and financial performance for our international site network. This role demands collaboration across multiple departments, including Clinical Operations, Finance, Legal, and Business Development, to ensure efficient study initiation and the maintenance of strong sponsor relationships. The ideal candidate will possess a meticulous attention to detail, extensive experience in negotiating clinical trial budgets, and the capability to navigate the complexities of international contracting.

What you'll do

- Lead the development, negotiation, and finalization of clinical trial budgets, Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs), amendments, and other related agreements, with a primary focus on international markets.
- Create and enhance standardized budgeting methodologies, negotiation tools,



and pricing structures tailored to specific countries.
- Produce budget estimates, feasibility analyses, and pricing assessments to support new research initiatives and partnerships.
- Collaborate closely with Clinical Operations and site leaders to ensure effective study initiation, monitor activation metrics, and confirm operational readiness.
- Work alongside post-award teams to guarantee accurate invoicing and adherence to contractual payment terms.
- Partner with Legal and Procurement teams to improve contract compliance and operational efficiency.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as necessary to support the team and organization.

Requirements

- A bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical trial budgeting, contracting, or research finance, with a specific emphasis on international budget negotiations.
- Must be available to start work at 6:00 AM ET to align with European time zones.
- Demonstrated experience in negotiating clinical trial budgets and contracts with sponsors, CROs, and international research sites.
- Understanding of clinical trial operations, study startup processes,



and financial management within the research sector.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills are essential.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced global environment.

Nice to have

- Experience with clinical trial budgets specific to Poland or familiarity with Central/Eastern European market rates and contracting practices.
- A background in healthcare technology, biotechnology, or experience within multi-site clinical research networks.
