NEXUS PERFORMANCE PTY LTD Nexus Performance Pty Ltd is currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Motor Mechanic to join our team in Cranbourne West, Vic 3977. Prospective applicant must have practical experience working as a Motor Mechanic. Position: Motor Mechanic Salary: $80000 plus Super Hours: 38 hours Mode: Full time Experience: Certificate III or higher qualification in Automotive field, with a minimum 1 year relevant experience is required.
Applicant also must have:
- Excellent work ethics.
- Effective time management skills.
- Excellent technical knowledge of vehicle systems.
The ideal candidate will be expected to perform the following duties that include but are not limited to:
- Diagnose automotive vehicles across a range of makes and models.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments and trends in the automotive repair industry and implement new techniques and practices as appropriate to improve service quality and efficiency.
- Inspect vehicles and run diagnostic tests to identify functional issues.
- Diagnose faults and mechanical issues using specialized tools and equipment, ensuring accurate identification and resolution of any problems.
- Dismantle, replace, or repair defective parts or equipment.
- Carry out mechanical repairs, including periodic servicing, brake repairs, clutch work, and timing belt repair/replacement on various makes and models.
- Change engine and transmission oils.
- Conduct thorough quality checks before returning vehicles to customers.
- Utilize computers to assist in diagnosing and testing components.
- Adhere to safety guidelines, report hazards, and maintain general housekeeping and workshop upkeep.
- Regularly interact with customers, explaining necessary services, providing cost estimates, and resolving any queries to ensure customer satisfaction.
- A professional attitude in the workshop at all times.
- Ability to carry out diagnostic work, fault finding, repair and maintenance.
