Australian Dairy Park (ADP) and Nutrition Care are subsidiaries of Ausnutria Australia. ADP is a dairy business manufacturing formulated milk powders for infants, toddlers, and adults for domestic and overseas markets. We are now opent to have 1 permennant warehouse staff to join the team in both ADP and NCP ( 2 headacounts).
The Warehouse Operator is responsible for the efficient and accurate handling of goods within the warehouse facility. This role involves various tasks including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of products. The Warehouse Operator plays a crucial part in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring timely fulfillment of orders.
This role requires a current forklift license and the use of ADP's warehouse management system (WMS) to maintain traceability of materials and movements. A current truck license would also be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving and Inspection:
- Receive incoming shipments, unload trucks, and inspect goods for damages or discrepancies.
- Verify quantities against packing lists or invoices and report any discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
Storage and Organization:
- Properly store received items in designated locations within the warehouse. Ensure that items are safely stacked or shelved to maximize space utilization and prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Order Picking:
- Retrieve items from inventory according to pick lists or customer orders.
- Utilize handheld scanners to accurately record picked items and update inventory records in the system.
Packing and Shipping:
- Prepare orders for shipment by packing items securely and labeling packages with appropriate shipping information.
Inventory Management:
- Conduct regular inventory counts to ensure accuracy of stock levels.
- Assist with periodic cycle counts and year-end inventory audits. Report any discrepancies or inventory issues to management.
Equipment Operation:
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or safety concerns.
Quality Control:
- Maintain high-quality control standards by inspecting products for damages or defects during the handling process.
- Ensure that all outgoing shipments meet quality standards and customer requirements.
Safety Compliance:
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working workplace.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow proper lifting techniques to prevent injuries.

Warehouse supervisors encounter various challenges daily, such as inventory discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, or logistical issues. They need strong problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
Adaptability:
The warehouse environment can be dynamic and unpredictable, with changing inventory levels, customer demands, and operational requirements. Supervisors should be adaptable and flexible to respond to evolving situations and adjust plans accordingly.
Safety Consciousness:
Safety is a top priority in warehouse operations. Supervisors must enforce safety protocols, conduct regular safety inspections, and ensure that employees are trained on proper handling techniques and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Customer Focus:
In warehouses that support customer orders, supervisors should maintain a customer-centric mindset. They should prioritize order accuracy, timely fulfillment, and excellent service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Team Player:
While supervisors lead their teams, they should also be team players who collaborate effectively with other departments to achieve overall organizational objectives. They should foster a positive and cooperative work environment where teamwork is valued.
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years working experience in food/beverage/Pharma industry.
- Experience working in an export business environment.
