About the Role

As a Sonographer at Macquarie University Health, you will play a vital role in delivering high‑quality diagnostic imaging services across our facilities. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Performing high‑quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations across a broad range of specialties, including general, obstetric, vascular and musculoskeletal imaging.




- Assisting with inpatient and outpatient interventional procedures.
- Collaborating closely with radiologists, specialists, referring clinicians, clerical and technical staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintaining the highest standards of patient care, safety and professionalism at all times.
- Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and clinical education activities where appropriate.
- Participating in a rotating on‑call roster and Saturday shifts.
- Working flexibly between two sites: Macquarie University Hospital and the Macquarie Shopping Centre clinic.

About You

You are a qualified, experienced Sonographer who is passionate about delivering excellence in diagnostic imaging. You thrive in a team-oriented, multidisciplinary environment and are committed to continuous professional development and the highest standards of patient care.

Selection Criteria

- Current ASAR registration (please note: trainee sonographers are not eligible to apply for this position).
- Demonstrated clinical experience across a broad range of ultrasound services, including general, obstetric, vascular and/or musculoskeletal modalities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, colleagues and referring clinicians.
- A genuine commitment to patient‑centred care, safety and professionalism.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility to participate in a rotating on‑call roster and Saturday shifts.
- Willingness and ability to work across two sites (Macquarie University Hospital and Macquarie Shopping Centre).
