About the team/About the role:

Reporting to the Director, Cancer Information and Support Services, the Manager,Cancer Support and Navigation leads a geographically dispersed, multidisciplinary team delivering information, psychosocial support and navigation services to people affected by cancer across NSW. The team encompasses Cancer Council’s 13 11 20 Information and Support Line,Cancer Council Liaisons based in treatmentcentres, and our counselling and peer support services.

This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for driving service excellence, strengthening quality and clinical governance, and ensuring people affected by cancer receivetimely,compassionate,and evidence-based support throughout their cancer experience.

An exciting period of transformation is underway throughthe Commonwealth-funded Australian Cancer Nursing and Navigation Program (ACNNP). As part of this initiative,Cancer Council isimplementingCancer Connect,



a national cancer navigation service that will enhanceand expandthe existing 13 11 20servicewith new digital navigation and supportofferings.This role willplay a keypartinleadingthewiderteamthroughthis change, as well asstrengthening service qualitystandards across theliaison,counsellingand peer support services.

Key responsibilities of the role:

- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary and geographically dispersed team delivering high-quality information, support,navigationand psychosocial services to people affected by cancer.
- Drive service excellence through strong clinical governance, qualityimprovementand workforce capability initiatives.
- Lead strategic projects and service improvement programs,



ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and successful outcomes.
- Oversee service budgets, resourceallocationand operational performance to support strategic priorities and client outcomes.
- Build andmaintainstrong partnerships with health professionals, Local HealthDistrictsand other key stakeholders to strengthen referral pathways and service integration.
- Monitor service performance, evaluateoutcomesand use data-driven insights to support continuous improvement andorganisationaldecision-making.

About you:

- Tertiaryqualificationin health, clinical, health management, ora related field.
- Experience in health, psychosocial support, or human services, including clinical governance, service quality, and continuous improvement.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams across diverse locations.
- Proficiencyin client management systems, databases, and digital tools.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Understandingofsupport, information and navigation service delivery frameworks and professional practice standards.
- Willingness to travel within NSW and hold a valid driver’slicence.
- Experience working in oncology or cancer supportive care and knowledge of the cancer care system.
- Knowledge andproficiencyin CRM platforms.
- Experience working in the not-for-profit sector.
