Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging and informative training sessions for students enrolled in the Certificate IV in Ageing Support program.
- Develop and update training materials, lesson plans, and assessments to ensure they meet the latest industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Guide and mentor students throughout their learning journey, providing constructive feedback and support to maximize their potential.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters collaboration and knowledge sharing among students.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to enhance the relevance and quality of the training program.
- Collaborate with the curriculum development team to continuously improve the course content and delivery methods.
- Assess student performance and maintain accurate records of their progress.
- Provide career guidance and counselling to help students excel in their chosen career paths.
Requirements
- A Certificate IV or higher qualification in Aged Care or Community Services or a related field.
- Substantial experience working in the aged care or community care sector, with a robust understanding of industry practices and challenges.
- A recognised vocational teaching qualification (TAE40116 or equivalent).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
- Demonstrated passion for teaching and empowering others to make a difference in the community.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, ensuring effective delivery of training within scheduled timelines.
- Current industry knowledge and the ability to integrate real-life examples into the training content.
- Ability to undertake work placement visits
- A valid Working with Children Check (or equivalent) and Police Clearance Certificate.
