At J Group, we are a well-established and growing civil construction company delivering infrastructure and groundworks projects. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Site Engineer to join our growing team.

About the Role

As a Site Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering civil construction projects safely, on time, and within budget. You will be responsible for coordinating on-site activities, supporting project delivery, and ensuring works are completed in accordance with design specifications and quality standards. This role will involve working across a variety of projects, including the opportunity to work on remote and regional sites, so flexibility and a willingness to work away from home when required is essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure work is carried out as per project plans
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Interpret and implement engineering drawings and specifications




- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Monitor project progress and prepare reports
- Manage materials, resources, and site logistics
- Identify issues onsite and prepare RFI’s

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
- 2+ years of experience in civil construction (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with project management software is an advantage
- Valid driver’s license (if required)
- Willingness to work away from home on remote or regional projects as required
