What You’ll Do:
As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will work closely with experienced Project Managers and Engineers who will mentor and support your development.
With training and guidance, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with project planning, organisation, and programming
- Supporting procurement of materials and services
- Conducting safety inspections and maintaining compliance
- Communicating with clients and stakeholders
- Performing quality assurance checks and site inspections
- Maintaining and auditing internal management systems
- Reviewing drawings and issuing RFIs
- Compiling site costings and assisting with budgets
What We’re Looking For:
We value attitude, reliability and a genuine desire to learn. Our ideal candidate will have:
- A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (or related field)
- Graduate to 1 – 2 years’ experience (graduates encouraged to apply)
- MUST be willing to work away in Regional NSW
- Class C driver’s licence
- White Card (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A proactive and positive mindset

Career Development:
At Aitken Civil, our graduates are developed into Project Engineers and future leaders within the business. You will be given increasing responsibility as your skills and confidence grows.
Work Schedule:
Projects are in Regional NSW, with occasional work in the Sydney region. Depending on location, rosters may include:
- 5 days on / 2 days off
- 10 days on / 4 days off
- Work Monday to Friday regionally, travel back to Sydney for weekends in provided vehicle
Please be prepared to work regionally each week travelling to and from Sydney.
