Wanless Waste Management is looking for a Business Development Cadet to join our Dandenong South team and learn the ropes in one of Australia’s most essential and sustainability-focused industries.

? Why You’ll Love This Role This is a hands-on, learn-by-doing role where you’ll be mentored by experienced people and supported to build real confidence in business development. You won’t be stuck behind a desk all day, you’ll be making calls, meeting businesses, getting out in the field and learning how to turn conversations into opportunities.

? What You’ll Be Doing

- Learning the world of business development from people who know the game
- Researching and identifying new opportunities across retail, commercial and industrial sectors
- Participating in door-to-door sales in a designated territory to canvas and connect with local businesses, generate leads and promote our offerings
- Making outbound calls, introducing Wanless services and starting conversations with potential customers
- Supporting CRM updates, pipeline tracking and client record management
- Sitting in on client meetings and industry events to learn how strong relationships are built
- Helping prepare quotes and proposals and learning what it takes to close the deal
- Keeping an eye on competitors, market trends and recent opportunities
- Working with internal teams to understand how smart, tailored waste and recycling solutions are created
- Learning how to communicate value clearly, confidently and professionally
