We provide high-quality, culturally safe legal and support services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people throughout NSW and the ACT, and fight for social justice and equity for our communities.

Your Impact

As a valued member of the Criminal Law Practice, you’ll play a key role delivering high-quality legal services for Aboriginal clients, supporting strong practice and outcomes. You will undertake criminal appearance work across Local, Children’s and District Courts, preparing matters, advising clients, and instructing counsel. Each day, you will:

- Deliver culturally appropriate legal advice and representation.
- Appear in court across criminal matters, including travel as required.
- Prepare cases, conduct research, and brief/instruct counsel.
- Manage a busy caseload, files, and court schedules efficiently.
- Build strong client relationships and communicate with diverse needs.
- Maintain legal knowledge, uphold ethics, and support team collaboration.

Your Story & Strengths

You are a skilled and motivated Junior Criminal Solicitor with a solid commitment to delivering culturally appropriate legal services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients. You combine sound legal knowledge with empathy and professionalism, and are driven by justice and community impact, you build trusted relationships while advocating for fair and meaningful outcomes. Key strengths include:

- A NSW Practising Certificate or able to obtain before commencement.




- Strong understanding of Aboriginal cultural and community needs.
- Ability to identify legal issues impacting disadvantaged clients.
- Sound knowledge of criminal law, practice, and procedure.
- Excellent communication, research, and time management skills.
- Ability to manage workload independently and travel as required.
