About the Role
Alliance Extra Staff is seeking experienced Kitchen Hands, Food Service Assistants, Catering Attendants, Cleaners and Laundry Attendants to support Aged Care facilities and Hospitals across Adelaide.
These roles are ideal for reliable, compassionate individuals who take pride in delivering high-quality service and maintaining safe, welcoming environments for residents and patients.
Kitchen Hand / Food Service Assistant Responsibilities
- Set up and deliver food and drink trolleys
- Prepare and plate meals, including texture-modified foods and fluids
- Prepare fresh sandwiches, salads and snacks
- Record food temperatures and maintain food safety standards
- Wash dishes and maintain clean kitchen areas
- Follow infection control and hygiene procedures
- Work with modified diets in accordance with IDDSI guidelines
Cleaner Responsibilities
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout resident rooms, bathrooms and communal areas
- Perform high-touch point cleaning and disinfection
- Set up, maintain and restock cleaning trolleys
- Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures
- Complete cleaning documentation where required
- Knowledge of the Coloured Mop System is highly regarded
Laundry Attendant Responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry,
fold and distribute linen and personal laundry
- Label and record residents' personal clothing and belongings
- Follow infection control and hygiene procedures
- Operate commercial laundry equipment safely
- Maintain an organised and hygienic laundry area
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 6 months' experience within Aged Care or Hospital environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Current National Police Check (issued within the last 12 months)
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current COVID-19 vaccinations
- 2026 Influenza Vaccination
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or willingness to complete)
- Availability to work a minimum of 3 days per week
- Knowledge of modified diets and IDDSI guidelines (Food Services roles)
- Knowledge of the Coloured Mop System (Cleaning roles)
