About the role

As a Lathe Operator, you will be operating new, state of the art CNC lathes in the workshop. The job involves working on pump parts and agricultural machinery. At times you may need to communicate with clients. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with overtime required at peak times.

Duties relevant to the above role

· Lathe operations on new, state of the art CNC lathes

· Set up lathe machines

· Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required specifications

· Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting as required

· Monitor the lathe machine while it is running to prevent malfunctions or damage

· Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures and keep work area clean and organised

· May on occasion be required to assist in the fields as a trade assistant

Skills relevant to the above role

· Interest in CNC Machining

· Sound written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to read and interpret drawings and parts diagrams

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products

This is an opportunity to join a thriving family owned and operated business, well known for the supply and installation of irrigation systems to the agricultural sector as well as engineering. The Directors are very much hands on and work with staff on a daily basis.
