About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day running of the business. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who thrives in a small business environment — comfortable moving between strategic planning, rostering, compliance, and staff support in the same day. You’ll work closely with the Managing Director to ensure the business runs efficiently, stays compliant with NDIS Practice Standards, and continues to deliver excellent outcomes for participants.

Employment type: Full‑time / Part‑time (negotiable) Location: North Brisbane (office‑based with some local travel) Reports to: Managing Director

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Service Delivery

- Oversee day‑to‑day operations across all service lines
- Manage rostering, scheduling, and staff allocation to ensure participant needs are met
- Monitor service delivery quality and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Liaise with participants, families, and support coordinators regarding service needs

Compliance & Quality

- Ensure ongoing compliance with the NDIS Practice Standards and NDIS Code of Conduct
- Maintain policies, procedures, and documentation required for NDIS registration and audits
- Coordinate incident management, reporting, and continuous improvement processes

People & Culture

- Recruit, onboard, and manage support workers and administrative staff
- Coordinate staff training, supervision, and performance management
- Foster a positive, supportive team culture in line with company values




- Manage staff rosters, leave, and timesheets

Finance & Administration

- Oversee NDIS billing, claims through the PRODA/NDIS portal, and invoicing
- Monitor budgets, service agreements, and pricing against the NDIS Price Guide
- Support the Director with reporting, KPIs, and business planning
- Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and external stakeholders

Business Growth

- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and service offerings
- Support marketing and referral relationships with Support Coordinators, LACs, and other providers
- Contribute to strategic planning and business development initiatives

About You

- Demonstrated experience in an operations, management, or coordination role, ideally within disability, community services, or healthcare
- Sound knowledge of the NDIS Practice Standards, NDIS Code of Conduct, and Quality and Safeguards framework
- Strong people management skills, with experience rostering and supervising a support workforce
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with rostering/case management software e.g Shiftcare
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Right to work in Australia
- Experience working in a small or growing NDIS business
- Qualification in Disability, Community Services, Business Management, or a related field
- Experience with NDIS scheduling, service agreements, and pricing arrangements
