About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to support the maintenance and reliability of our plastic recycling production equipment. This is a casual/part time/full time/contract positions with flexible working hours, ideal for a skilled tradesperson who can assist with machine maintenance, repairs, and mechanical adjustments as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on recycling production equipment
- Blade Sharpening, Replacement & Inspection
- Assist with preventative maintenance and equipment troubleshooting
- Support machine setup,
adjustments and Operational Optimisation
- Maintain safe operation of plant and equipment
- Record basic maintenance activities as required
Requirements
- Experience working with industrial or manufacturing machinery
- Trade qualification as Mechanical Fitter / Maintenance Fitter / Plant Mechanic preferred
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is an advantage
- Solid attention to detail and mechanical problem-solving skills
- Forklift License preferred
- Commitment to workplace safety
- Reliable and able to work independently
- Legal right to work in Australia
