Job Type: Full-time + occasional out-of-hours

As a Trade Officer, you will support the delivery of high-quality building services, maintenance operations, compliance activities and minor project works across multiple sites.

About the Role

The Trade Officer will be responsible for coordinating and delivering building services, maintenance works, regulatory compliance activities and minor refurbishments across TLC Healthcare sites. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, contractors, suppliers and consultants to ensure facilities remain safe, operational and compliant.

This is a hands on role that combines technical trade expertise, contractor management and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate building maintenance and service delivery across multiple healthcare sites.
- Ensure compliance with relevant building, safety, accessibility and regulatory requirements.
- Manage contractor engagement, quotations and subcontractor performance.
- Monitor building services including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire and general construction systems.
- Assist with minor capital works, refurbishments and project delivery.
- Conduct site inspections, condition assessments and compliance audits.
- Manage maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Maintain accurate records,



project documentation and defect registers.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost efficiencies.
- Promote workplace safety and support TLC's Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Trade qualification or tertiary qualification in Facilities Management, Construction or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in building maintenance services.
- Strong understanding of Australian Standards and healthcare-related regulatory requirements.
- Experience coordinating maintenance works, contractors and minor projects.
- Demonstrated experience in commercial construction environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and industry-based software platforms.
- Experience within aged care, healthcare or medical facilities.
- Experience working on projects valued from $25K to $40M.
- Experience with Aconex, TeamBinder or similar project management software.
- Test and Tag qualifications.
- Electrical trade background
- Ability to read and interpret structural, mechanical, electrical, civil and architectural drawings
