We’re looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join a fast-paced healthcare organisation, managing a complex supplier network and delivering strong service and inventory outcomes across multiple customer segments.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume, operational environment while still bringing a strategic mindset to supplier and category management.
About the Role
You will manage day-to-day procurement operations across 1000+ vendors and multiple product categories, ensuring consistent product availability and efficient inventory management.
Working closely with operations, commercial and finance teams, you’ll play a key role in balancing KPIs across a diverse healthcare customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimise a large supplier base (1000+ vendors), ensuring reliable supply and strong commercial outcomes
- Lead procurement activities across 6+ product categories
- Monitor and drive core KPIs
- Improve supplier performance (OTIF, lead times, cost, quality)
- Partner with commercial, finance and operations to ensure supply continuity
- Manage purchase planning, order execution,
and supplier communications
- Identify and implement cost-saving and process improvement initiatives
- Support contract negotiations and supplier reviews
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and internal policies
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain leadership within healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or regulated industries
- Strong leadership experience managing teams of 20+ employees
- Demonstrated success in improving fill rate and inventory performance (stock turns)
- Experience across multiple product categories and complex distribution environments
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and analytical skills
- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement tools
