We are excited to announce an opening for a Customer Service Executive (or maybe 2) at our vibrant Melbourne office! This is a fantastic opportunity for those seeking part-time, full-time, or flexible working options. Located conveniently at Melbourne Airport, we embrace flexible working models that allow you to balance your professional and personal life seamlessly.
Your purpose:
- Maintain strong and professional communication with clients regarding shipment status, milestones, delays, and exceptions
- Resolve operational issues in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain and update customer SOPs and operational requirements
- Coordinate international freight bookings across Air Freight, LCL, and FCL shipments
- Manage end-to-end shipment activities including booking arrangements, shipment tracking, milestone updates, and delivery coordination
- Liaise with overseas agents, shipping lines, airlines, transport providers, and internal departments to ensure smooth cargo movement
- Support brokerage job management and customs clearance processes
- Assist with occasional cartage coordination responsibilities
- Support cross-trade and project-based shipment activities when required
- Maintain accurate shipment records and operational data within CargoWise One (CW1)
- Ensure invoices are accurate, timely, and compliant with customer requirements
- Assist with cost control and identification of operational efficiencies to support account profitability
You'll bring:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a Customer Service role within the freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain, or international transport industry
- Strong understanding of international freight operations across Air Freight, LCL, and FCL cargo
- Experience coordinating end-to-end shipment processes
- Knowledge of Australian import customs clearance procedures
- Exposure to cross-trade shipments and project cargo advantageous
- Experience managing customer relationships within a service-driven environment
- Understanding of invoicing processes, billing practices, and operational cost management preferred
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously in a high-volume workplace
- CargoWise One (CW1) system experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams)
