Step Into a Leadership Role

Canopy Early Education Ormiston is seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Educator to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead, inspire, and make a meaningful impact on the learning and development of young children within our expanding centre.

For more than three decades, Canopy Early Education® (formally API Childcare Centres) has continually adapted and enhanced our childcare centres to respond to the evolving needs of families.

Our centre provides care and education for children aged 6 months to 5 years, including a government-approved Kindergarten program. At Canopy Early Education Ormiston,we’re proud to provide a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where children can learn, grow and discover. Our dedicated, professional, and friendly educators continue to deliver high-quality education programs, ensuring that every child receives the attention and care they deserve and where educators are truly valued and enjoy a supportive team culture.

About the Role

As a Lead Educator, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality educational programs and mentoring fellow educators. You will lead your room with confidence, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for all children.

With increasing enrolments, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-performing and stable team while developing your leadership career.

nature-inspired, and incorporate First Nations perspectives, fostering curiosity, connection, and confidence in every child.

We are also a committed Child Safe Organisation, embedding child safety in all aspects of our practice and culture.

What We’re Looking For To succeed in this leadership role, you will have:

- Diploma (or working towards) in Early Childhood Education (or higher qualification)
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- “I’m Alert” Food Safety certification
- National Child Safety Training
- Valid First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certifications
- Solid experience implementing EYLF and documenting children’s learning
- Proven ability to lead a room and support/mentor team members
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A professional, proactive, and collaborative approach
- A genuine passion for high-quality education and care
