Role/Title: Lead Quality Engineer- 8- 15 Years

Mode of Hiring: FTC/Contract

We are seeking an experienced QE Lead ? Mobile to lead quality engineering initiatives for mobile applications. This role will be responsible for defining and driving the mobile testing strategy, ensuring high-quality releases across iOS and Android platforms, and leading a team of QA engineers in an Agile delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Engineering Leadership

- Define and implement the mobile testing strategy aligned with project goals and business objectives
- Lead end-to-end quality assurance activities for mobile applications (iOS & Android)
- Establish best practices for test planning, execution, automation, and reporting
- Ensure quality gates are met before production releases

Mobile Testing & Automation

- Drive automation strategy for mobile apps using tools such as Appium, Selenium, or similar frameworks
- Ensure adequate test coverage (functional, regression, integration, UI/UX)
- Oversee manual and automated testing efforts to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Handle device compatibility and cross-platform testing

Team Management

- Lead and mentor a team of QE engineers across multiple locations
- Drive resource planning, task allocation, and performance management




- Collaborate with offshore/onshore teams to ensure seamless delivery

Stakeholder & Collaboration

- Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and Program Managers
- Provide regular status updates, risk assessments, and quality metrics to stakeholders
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Retrospectives)

Defect & Release Management

- Ensure effective defect tracking, triaging, and resolution
- Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and preventive measures
- Support CI/CD pipeline integration for automated test execution
- Ensure smooth release validation and production deployment support

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 8-12+ years of experience in Quality Engineering / Software Testing
- Strong experience in mobile application testing (iOS & Android)
- Hands-on expertise in automation tools such as:
- Appium, Selenium
- XCTest / Espresso (preferred)
- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Rest Assured, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience working with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab, etc.)
- Familiarity with test management tools (JIRA, Zephyr, TestRail, ALM)

Preferred Skills

- Experience in retail domain
- Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner)
- Knowledge of cloud-based mobile testing platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs)
- Understanding of security and usability testing for mobile apps
